What data exactly gets shared between 6sense and ODP?
ODP sends customer email or IP addresses to 6sense via API. For matching addresses, 6sense returns attributes, which are stored in ODP under fields beginning with 6sense.
What API configurations are available?
- Company Identification uses visitor IP to identify the company.
- Company Firmographics Enrichment adds firmographic data (company size, revenue, industry).
- People Enrichment adds contact-level details.
- Note: Company Identification cannot be combined with the firmographics + people enrichment options; firmographics and people can be used together.
What are the prerequisites for enabling this integration?
You need an active ODP account and a 6sense account with available API credits for either identification or enrichment (or both). Make sure your ODP app consent setting is set to “Opted In” for API data flows.
How do I set it up?
- In ODP: Go to Data Setup > App Directory > install the 6sense app.
- Under Settings: enter your 6sense API token, select enrichment type(s), and authorize. Optionally, set match limits.
- In 6sense: Navigate to Settings > Integrations > API Token. Enable segment name enrichment and select format “Segment ID + Name.”
How can I control which data is synced?
Use ODP Activations to define audiences or segments for which to sync data. You can choose one-time or recurring behavioral syncs. For example, set up a campaign “6sense Firmographics Enrichment” to push specific audiences via email to 6sense.
How do I see and leverage 6sense data in ODP?
The new 6sense fields appear in ODP’s Data Setup > Objects & Fields and within customer profiles. You can use them to build real-time Audiences (formerly Segments) for personalization via modals, messaging, or other activations in ODP.
