Privacy Notice for Data Connect Services

1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE

6Sense Insights, Inc. and our affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively, “6sense” or “we”) respect and protect the privacy of our users and clients. The following practices govern how we collect, use, share and protect the information you provide to us through the 6sense Sales Intelligence Services with a Data Connect Integration (“Data Connect Services”) and other information we might collect about you and the choices you have regarding our collection and use of your information.

This Privacy Notice is specific to Data Connect Services. Please also review and ensure you understand the Notice of Financial Incentive applicable to Data Connect Services. For more information about our privacy practices generally, please visit our Privacy Policy.

In this Privacy Notice, “Personal Information” means information that may be used to identify you or another person personally, such as your name, street address, email address, or telephone number, and any other information that relates to you or another person.

2. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT THROUGH DATA CONNECT SERVICES

The types of Personal Information we might collect about you when you use Data Connect Services could include the following:

  • Identifiers: Information that identifies you directly or could be used to identify you.
    • Examples: Full name, email address, social media account information, phone number, job title and description, company name, your customer account information, IP address, and other data that identifies or could identify your online activity.
  • Commercial Information: Information related to purchases that you or your company might make in connection with our services.
    • Examples: Purchase history, products considered.
  • Geo-IP Information: information about where your computer or device is approximately located (at the city or state level) when you use Data Connect Services.
  • Inferences: Information we can determine or estimate about you based on information we collect about you.
    • Examples: Purchase preferences, potential future purchase behavior.
  • User-Generated Content: Business contact information in email and calendar invites sent to you or that you send to others through email and calendar accounts you connect to Data Connect Services.
    • Examples: Name, business email, address, phone, event invites.

3. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION THROUGH DATA CONNECT SERVICES

Depending on your relationship with 6sense, we may collect Personal Information from you in different ways. Some of the ways that 6sense may collect Personal Information include:

  • When you submit User-Generated Content via an email or calendar account that you’ve integrated with Data Connect Services, we will collect the contact information you provide in such submissions (which includes the contact information of the individuals that you correspond with via your email and/or calendar account), including identifiers you submit (“Data Connect Contact Data”).
  • When you give 6sense Personal Information directly, including through contact forms, surveys, registering for or participating in events, or by emailing us or calling us to request products, services, or information. This Personal Information would include the specific identifiers you provide directly to us.

In connection with your use of Data Connect Services, we do not knowingly collect sensitive Personal Information (such as medical or health conditions, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, or information specifying the sex life of a person).

If despite the foregoing, any sensitive data were to be collected, such sensitive data would be subject to the following data protection mechanisms: TLS encryption applies to data containing Personal Information in transit, object level encryption applies to stored Personal Information, and role based access control is utilized for further protection. 6sense also limits access to its databases according to the principle of least privilege & segregation of duties.

4. SALE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION SUBMITTED THROUGH DATA CONNECT SERVICES

As part of the Data Connect Services exchange, we sell each type of Data Connect Contact Data collected via Data Connect as described above to our customers who are businesses that use personal information to engage with other businesses for marketing, sales, and for other internal business purposes, such as recruiting. Data Connect Contacts may opt-out of the sale of their contact information via our Privacy Center. See the Notice of Financial Incentive applicable to Data Connect Services.

We may also disclose each type of Data Connect Contact Data described above to a third party for a business purpose related to our development and provision of Data Connect Services. When we disclose personal information for a business purpose, we enter a contract that describes the purpose and requires the recipient to both keep that information confidential and not use it for any purpose except performing the contract.

5. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED THROUGH DATA CONNECT SERVICES

In addition to the sale of Personal Information described above and the uses of Personal Information described in our Privacy Policy, we may use Personal Information collected through Data Connect Services for the following purposes:

    • Provide, operate, maintain and improve the Data Connect Services;
    • Enable you to access and use the Data Connect Services, including collecting, uploading, downloading, processing, storing and sharing content;
    • Send notifications and updates, including security alerts, technical notices, and support messages;
    • Provide and deliver the Data Connect Services and features you request, process and complete transactions, and send you related information, including purchase confirmations and invoices;
    • Provide support services, including responding to questions, requests for features, and technical support;
    • Send you communications about our Services, us, or on behalf of our select partners;
    • Track and analyze usage statistics within the Data Connect Services and for marketing or advertising purposes;
    • Personalize and improve the Data Connect Services, and provide content, features, and/or advertisements that match your interests and preferences or otherwise customize your experience on the Data Connect Services;
    • Link or combine with other information we receive from third parties to help understand your needs and provide you with better service;
    • Enable you to communicate, collaborate, and share files with users you designate; Investigate and prevent fraudulent transactions, unauthorized access to the Data Connect Services, and other illegal activities; and
    • For other purposes about which we notify you upon collection of your Personal Information.

We do not use Data Connect Data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI and/or ML models.

6. OUR POLICY TOWARD CHILDREN

The Data Connect Services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect or sell Personal Information from children under 18. If you become aware that a child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us at [email protected]. If we become aware that a child under the age of 18 has provided us with Personal Information, we will take steps to delete such information.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the following rights with respect to your Personal Information depending on where you are located. Please refer to the applicable section of this Notice to learn more about your rights:

A. RIGHTS FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Access. You can request that we disclose to you the categories of Personal Information that we collect, use, disclose, and may sell. Once we receive and verify your request, we will give you the following information:
    • The categories of Personal Information we collected about you.
    • The categories of sources of Personal Information we collected about you.
    • Our business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling that Personal Information.
    •  The categories of third parties with whom we share that Personal Information.
    •  The specific pieces of Personal Information we collected about you.
  • Delete. You can request that we delete the Personal Information that we collected from you. Once we receive and verify your request, we will delete your Personal Information from our records. We are not required to delete information if we need to use it for the following:
    • Completing a transaction or contract with you;
    • Detecting security interests, protecting against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecuting people responsible for that activity;
    • Debugging our products to identify and repair errors to Data Connect Services;
    • Exercising, and allowing others to exercise, free speech, or other legal rights; or
    • Subject to exceptions permitted by law.
  • Correct. You have the right to request that we correct any of your Personal Information that is inaccurate.
  • Disclosure of Categories of Personal Information Sold. You can request that we disclose to you the categories of your Personal Information that we have sold (if applicable).
  • Opt-Out of Sale of Personal Information. As more fully described above, we sell Personal Information to our customers. You can request that we do not sell your Personal Information.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights related to your Personal Information.

B. RIGHTS AND MORE INFORMATION FOR INDIVIDUALS IN THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA

i. Information about the Processing of Personal Data

Purpose of and Legal Basis for Processing: Personal Information is processed in different ways and with different legal bases depending on your use of the Data Connect Services:

  • consent;
  • as necessary for the performance of our agreement to provide Data Connect Services
  • as necessary for legal compliance with an obligation; and
  • as proportional to our legitimate interest in providing our Services where such interests do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms related to data privacy.
  • Our Legitimate Interest: We have a legitimate interest to collect and analyze B2B contact information. This has a limited impact on the privacy of individuals because the business data is related to a person’s role on behalf of a business.

Categories of Personal Data Collected: As described above, we collect the following categories of Personal Information:

  • Identifiers, like your name or username, business email address, business title, company, location, business phone number, IP address, account ID, cookie ID, and other similar identifiers.
  •  Commercial Information, including your payment information and records of the Services you purchased.
  •  Internet or other Electronic Network Activity Information, such as the usage data we receive when you use our access our Services. This includes information about your interactions with the Data Connect Services and about the devices and computers you use to access the Data Connect Services.
  • Professional or Employment-Related Information, such as your work history and business-to-business emails and meetings.
  • Other information that you provide, including account information such as your biography, company, or country.

Recipients or Categories of Recipients that Receive Personal Data:

  •  Our customers
  •  Our service providers
  • Our processors
  •  Third parties and partners

Notice of Transfer of Data to Countries Outside of the EEA: All data is stored in the United States.

ii. Your Data Protection Rights

If you make a request, we have one month to respond to your request. If you would like to exercise any of your rights, please use our Privacy Center.

  • Right to Access: You have the right to request that we provide you with a copy of your Personal Information.
  • Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct any of your Personal Information that is inaccurate.
  • Right to Erase: You have the right to request that we erase your Personal Information.
  • Right to Object to Processing: You have the right to object to our processing of your Personal Information, consistent with legal requirements.
  • Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request that we transfer your Personal Information to another organization, or directly to you, consistent with legal requirements.
