Descriptive Statistics

Descriptive statistics simply describe the data we have but don’t tell us anything about what they mean. It tells us things like how many people did something or what the average score was in a group. They are useful for getting a basic understanding of the thing we are measuring. Descriptive data are often presented in bar or column charts, or in pie charts. They show how scores are distributed.
