6sense’s GoodSense Supports the Black Lives Matter Global Network

In early March, 6sense, like so many other companies, made the decision to temporarily close all offices  due to the Coronavirus pandemic. With our 200 employees all working from home, 6sense’s employee-led philanthropy team, GoodSense, decided to allocate weekly funds normally reserved for office expenses to support organizations across the country working to help those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in places where our employees live and work, including San Francisco, New York City, Austin, and Chicago.

While the pandemic continues to be an issue worldwide and we will continue to support those affected, 6sense has decided to also allocate GoodSense funds towards supporting social justice initiatives, starting with the Black Lives Matter Global Network and their movement to spread awareness on social inequities and end racial discrimination. 6sense stands with the Black community as we continue to fight against racism, injustice and all forms of brutality, including police brutality.  We will continue to source input from our team on additional organizations in their communities to support each week.

Over the past few months, GoodSense funds have provided meals and supplies to patients and staff at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in NYC, given cash assistance to restaurant and delivery workers in need through the One Fair Wage Emergency Fund, delivered meals to senior citizens with Meals on Wheels, supported the World Health Organization by donating to the UN Foundation COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, and many other groups and organizations working to help those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The murder of George Floyd is a stark reminder that we live in a time of uncertainty and injustice. Our 6sense FAMILY stands with the black community against injustice, and we continue to strive to propagate values that support diversity and inclusion. We will continue to live those values and not shy away from the crucial and challenging work of repairing the world and promoting inclusion and diversity in all that we do.
