What’s with all the BDR love?

The Top BDR Awards are part of the BDR Appreciation Week festivities. The week’s goal: To transform how the industry views BDRs and recognize them as invaluable members of the revenue team. Head over to the BDR Appreciation Week site to join the party!

How are finalists and winners selected?

Once nominations close on February 11th, all entries will be reviewed by a group of B2B sales leaders, BDRs and other sales pros. Three finalists will be selected for each award category.

From Feb. 21 to Feb. 24, we’ll present the finalists and their nomination submissions to the public. Industry pros (like you!) will vote for winners in each category.

Can I nominate myself?

You sure can. However, only GTM leaders / managers can nominate BDRs for the Next-Gen BDR and Rookie of the Year awards.

Can BDRs be nominated in more than one award category?

Yes, though multiple entries must be submitted one category at a time.

How much time does it take to nominate a BDR?

The process takes about five minutes, provided you’ve prepared responses to the nomination questions in advance.

What information and material do I need to nominate at BDR?

Each award category has unique nomination criteria and requirements for supporting material. Here’s a rundown of each:

Customer Outreach Award

Please provide:

  • The buyer persona contacted by the nominee
  • Any research the nominee used that resulted in hyper-personalized messaging
  • The email strategy the nominee used to connect with the buyer
  • Why the nominee’s strategy and email qualify for the Best Customer Outreach Award
  • Up to five screen shots of the email the nominee used to deliver meaningful messaging to the buyer

Perseverance Award

Please provide:

  • The amount of time (measured in days, weeks, or months) the nominee pursued the account before booking a meeting
  • The buyer persona contacted by the nominee
  • The channel(s) the nominee used to nurture the account
  • The creative angles used to deliver value with each touch of this cadence
  • A description of any resistance from the buying team, and how the nominee persevered

Difference Maker Award

Please provide:

  • A goal the nominee set and achieved with a buyer, within their team, or at their organization, regardless of the effort or time it required
  • Details of the goal and how the nominee devised the successful plan
  • How the nominee set new standards by breaking records or challenging the status quo
  • A specific tactic the nominee used that led (or may lead) to greater success among other BDRs in the industry 
  • A description of how the nominee helped motivate a resistant buyer

Next-Gen BDR Award

Only GTM leaders / managers may nominate BDRs for this award. Please provide:

  • Your job title
  • A description of how this BDR demonstrates marketing-sales alignment on their prioritized accounts
  • How the nominee uses multiple channels to engage their accounts and multi-thread with the buying team
  • How the nominee successfully uses personalization in their messaging
  • The email strategy the nominee used to effectively connect with buyers
  • Up to five screen shots of the email the nominee used to deliver meaningful messaging to the buyer that included personalization and a value proposition

Rookie of the Year

Only GTM leaders / managers may nominate BDRs for this award.

  • Nominees must meet the same criteria seen in the Next-Gen BDR award
  • Only BDRs with four or fewer months of experience are eligible for this award
